Annual Report Grindrod
Grindrod wanted to reinforce their strong brand identity while introducing a fresh new look. Their focus was on their international presence as a group. We provided design and investor relations input. A major challenge was showing the extensive group in an easily understandable and readable format. The documents were also distributed to Grindrod’s international mailing list and this was managed by us. The client was very satisfied that the report succeeded in raising the bar in their financial reporting.
Tourism KZN
The KwaZulu-Natal Tourism Authority is responsible for promoting tourism in the province. The aim of their annual report is two-fold, firstly, that of reporting their results to the KwaZulu-Natal legislature; and as a marketing tool to local and international members of the tourism industry. The tabular format used for reporting provided a design challenge as it needs to be easily readable while still looking professional. Ince.motiv won this tender for the third year running, based on design, typesetting and project management capabilities.
Rainbow Chickens
As one of the industry leaders, as well as a pioneer in award winning value-added chicken products, Rainbow Chickens wanted a design that was fresh and contemporary while still remaining focused on their brand values and product offering. The 2009 design introduced fresh new colours and, paired with investor relations consulting, helped to change the look and feel of various elements of the report. The client was very satisfied with the annual report process as well as the finished product.

Xerox Print Expo campaign
We utilised our cross media solution and developed the strategy for a direct marketing campaign for Xerox to reach its four different target markets and persuade them to attend their 2009 Print Expo.
Firstly, we segmented their database and created different messages and designs for each of the targeted customer segments.
The campaign consisted of:
- A personalised printed flyer
- A personalised e-zine
- An opportunity to gather data through invitation to the personal URL
We managed all outputs of print, email, web and the competition elements.
Response to this campaign was measured through the information gathered in the personal URLs. and we could provide feedback on the number of attendees as a result of the invites and resultant business gained by the client.

Online procurement solutions
Virgin Active
This client operates nationally with many clubs and needed a solution that allowes control over its corporate identity (CI) but also allows the clubs to create their own printed marketing artwork at individual club level. This would be based upon their own specific promotion details.
We created an online ordering site for them for flyers, marketing kits etc. The solution enables variable data information to be generated “on the fly” on print-ready, PDF artwork templates.
The solution has been expanded beyond printed material and our service now includes a central warehousing and distribution service for other clubs’ branded promotional material.
Ernst & Young
We created an online ordering system for Ernst & Young for their internal use, enabling staff to order stationery, finished goods and corporate gifts from a catalogue system. Orders are then directed to specified validators, who approve or reject orders.
This solution afforded Ernst & Young improved control over their ordering and procurement processes.
Content Management System (CMS) functionality allows the client to control stock, users and office administration.

Pioneer Foods – Website and mobile site
We designed and built this website for Pioneer Foods and also created the mobile site. To achieve this, we strip all design off the templates to make them easily viewable on any type of mobile phone and select a few key sections we feel will be most accessed by the mobile user.
This has become a standard item on all our websites (where relevant) and is tailored to suit the needs of the client.
Lewis Group mobile site
– another example of a website we built and developed with the mobile site.
These are focused mobile sites often aimed at the investor user – allowing both the investor and client themselves to access the share price info whenever they need to.
